On this page we try to give you an insight into our upcoming releases. Since we're still in pure-development stage and are working hard towards our first 1.0 release, things are very lickly to change overnight. Still, we will try to keep this roadmap as accurate as possible.
We use a classic MAJOR.MINOR-REVISION versioning scheme.
Every committed change to our repository will trigger a revision. Not all revision will be pushed to our public tree, so with regards to official releases, revisions will contain gaps in their numbering.
The minor part of the versioning scheme indicates a functional milestone that concludes the introduction of new features. If minor releases introduce functional breaks with previous releases, these will be provided as options.
Only in major releases will we allow ourselves to remove certain features or ways how things worked in the past and introduce breaking changes.
It is important to note that as long as we are working towards the first major release (1.0), we cannot break any previous major release and therefore things can change pretty much overnight. During this periode, we use minor release bumps to also indicate possible breaking changes.
We are currently in our famous 0.x release cycle, which means that there is not official stable release. This should not prohibit you from trying out the current state of affairs and start playing with these development releases. The releases that can be found on our download site are releases we use ourselves on production sites like TheModelFactory.
Visit the Download page for direct access to the lastest publically stable development release.
We're trying to do time-boxed releases on a monthly basis. Below is an overview of the features we hope to release following that scheme:
